Senior Software Engineer - Mobile Team

The Senior Software Engineer is responsible for building engaging user experiences for web and mobile using the latest cross-platform technologies. This role will also provide the technical leadership in partnership with Architects, Business Analyst, Product Owner, DevOps engineers, and other members of the Information Technology team to meet and exceed our member, client, and internal user expectations. 


What you’ll do

  • Develop, maintain, and support the cross-platform web and mobile solutions and other mission-critical application components that deliver on Product Strategy and adhere to established engineering best practices, design guidelines and principles.
  • Review pull requests and ensure adherence to the target framework and language idioms.
  • Actively participate in all team agile ceremonies, mobilizing the team to ensure that all team commitments are delivered on time and of the highest quality.
  • Advocate and establish team disciplines on coding, delivery, documentation, and operation support.
  • Provide mentorship and coaching to other members of the development team.
  • Assist leadership with estimation and technical scoping of work requests.
  • Collaborate with Business Analysts and business teams to clarify requirements and business needs. Proactively update stakeholders and maintain open and courteous communication.
  • Collaborate with other developers and architects (when appropriate) to determine optimal solution architecture with efficiency, maintainability, and scalability.
  • All other duties as assigned.


What you’ll bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, MIS, CIS or equivalent preferred; Coding/Programming Boot Camp or similar practical experience in lieu of degree also accepted.
  • 6+ years of experience in application development with Microsoft C# and .Net technology stack.
  • 3+ years of experience in the web front-end development with CSS, Typescript, and JavaScript frameworks.
  • Preferred technical experiences: Vue.js, CI/CD with Github Actions, Ionic/Capacitor, Firebase, BrowserStack, Windows Service, Web APIs, NoSQL/document databases, and exposure to cloud computing concepts such as Microsoft Azure and/or Amazon Web Services (AWS).
  • Thorough understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) best practices.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills with critical attention to detail and creative problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; Ability to work with team members and customers in a professional, friendly manner.

  • Strong administrative/technical skills; Comfort working on a PC using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), IM/video conferencing (Teams & Zoom), and telephones efficiently.
